This unique photograph taken by Oberleutnant (lieutenant) Hans Brandner of the 2nd Mountain Division staff shows the start of the drive towards the east. The photograph was taken in the wee morning hours of 22 June 1941 on the road between Norwegian Kirkenes and Finnish (now Russian) Petsamo.
