Since 1994 the Murmansk county search groups annually bury remains of Soviet soldiers at this cemetary, not far from the war memorial by the old (northern) Murmansk-Norway road. So far, about 1500 fallen warriors have found rest here. Under the helmets lie the newly discovered and identified remains of 2nd lieutenant Maykov, sergeang Romanov and the solciers Sorokin and Paulin. After almost 60 years of uncertainty their names are no longer among those missing in action...
