Narvik tank

Previous | Photo index | Next

A French Hotchkiss tank stands guard outside the main entrance of the Nordland Red Cross War Memorial Museum, or Narvik War Museum for short. Tanks similar to this were used by the French in the battle for Narvik, but this particular tank was actually taken to Narvik by the Germans after the invasion, to be used for coastal defense. The tank commander´s hatch is of German, not French, make.
